Hubert Shellenberger

H. D. (Shelly) Shellenberger, age 81, died December 9, 2012. There will be a family memorial at a later date. Shelly was born October 7, 1931 and raised in Alliance, Nebraska. He graduated from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. He then served in the Air Force for two years. He worked as an officer in banks in Omaha, NE for 11 years, Boone, IA for 2 years and Torrington, WY from 1971 until he retired in 1993. While in Omaha, he served as campaign chairman, and later president of the United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Omaha Foundation. He was on the vestry of the Episcopal Churches in Omaha, Boone and Torrington. In Torrington he served on the board of the Wyoming Banker's Association. He was a member of the Boone and Torrington Rotary Clubs and served a term as president. He was also a member of the board of the Goshen Care Center. Survivors include two sons, Dave Shellenberger and his wife Donna, Steve Shellenberger and his wife Barb, Casper, Wyoming. He left behind four grandsons, Cory, Ryan, Jim and Dillon His parents, H. D. Shellenberger and Erma Shellenberger and brothers Paul and Jim preceded him in death.
