Howard Geike

Memorial services for Mr. Howard E. Geike, 75, of Edgerton, WY will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Bustard's Funeral Home with Bruce Sell officiating. Howard passed away March 11, 2015 in Casper, WY and cremation has taken place under the direction of Bustard's Funeral Home and Crematory. Born March 13, 1939 in Harrison, NE. He was the son of Henry and Orpha (Keebler) Geike. Howard grew up on the family ranch 12 miles northwest of of Harrison, near the Wyoming_South Dakota state line. He attended school in Harrison, grades on through twelve and graduated from Sioux County High in 1957. Howard served his country in the United States Army Security Agency from 1961 to 1964. Howard got tired of milking cows and mending fence so he left the Ranch for an oil patch at Teapot Dome Naval Petroleum Reserve #3 for 32 years. Mr. Geike married Janet Copp in Buffalo, WY in 1980 and together they raised three children. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge in Midwest, WY, Kalif Shrine in Sheridan, WY and the NRA. He enjoyed hunting, driving back roads and drinking beer with his friends as well as a little gambling in Deadwood. Howard took pride in always paying his bills on time. Howard is survived by his Daughters, Rayma Geike, and Renee Harmon and son Robert (Misty) Geike all of Casper, grandson Asa Harmon and granddaughter RaeLee Geike as well as his sister Vesta Hutchison of Dubois, WY. Preceding him in death was his wife of 18 years Janet, Parents, Henry and Orpha Geike, and brothers Herbert and Wendell.
