Hertha Dickey

October 5, 1919 — January 2, 2014

Hertha W. Dickey, Known to many as Granny or Ma Dickey, 94, of Casper, WY, passed away January 4, 2014 at Wyoming Medical Center. Born to Claud and Gladys Newsom on October 5, 1919, Hertha Married C.S. Dickey on January 5, 1936 in Aspermont Texas. In September of 1951 they moved to Kaycee, WY then moved to Midwest, Wyoming in 1954 where they raised their 8 children; Jerry (Joyce) Dickey, Kalita (Jerry) VanNorman, Claud Dickey, Etta (Steve) Henderson, C.S. (Phyliss) Dickey Jr., John (Sharon) Dickey, Carol (Butch) Hutsell, and Merry Dickey. Hertha was the proud grandmother of 23 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 20 great great-grandchildren as well as one great great great-grandchild. Preceding her in death was her husband; C.S. Dickey, daughter; Etta Rae Henderson, one grandson, and four great-grandchildren. Memorial services for Hertha will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Bustard's Funeral Home.
