Henry "Hiney" Weber, 88, longtime resident of Casper and Sheridan, Wyoming, had just made a move to Buffalo, Wyoming to Agape Assisted Living, but his worsening medical condition made it necessary for him to be hospitalized and he passed away October 24, 2011 at Johnson County Medical Center in Buffalo, Wyo. Henry was born February 13, 1923 in Lincoln, NE, to Anna Marie and Chris Weber. He was the youngest of 3 sisters and 5 brothers, all of whom preceded him in death. Henry was the last of first generation German-Americans, His father, mother, and 3 brothers immigrated to the United States from Russia in 1913. After the death of his mother, when Henry was 4 years old, his father moved the family to Clearmont, Wyoming, where they engaged in farming. Henry's school years were completed in Clearmont. He graduated there with the class of 1941. He enlisted in the Army and became a paratrooper with the 11th Airborne. He made 5 combat jumps during his overseas service. His service began in New Guinea in April, 1944, when the unit took part in regaining the Island of Leyte and later on Luzon where they assisted in the fall of Manila. Henry returned to Clearmont after his discharge on January 8, 1946. He was a life-long avid fisherman and hunter and spent much time over the years enjoying these things with brothers and friends. He met and married Mary Lou Stuka on April 19, 1947. Henry worked for the Conoco Service and Mary taught school in Clearmont. They divorced 5 years later, but were reunited in marriage on December 26, 1970. At that time they made their permanent home in Casper where Mary taught school. Henry was also with the School District there, until both retired. Mary passed away on September 16, 2011, one month before Henry's own death. In 1955 Henry married Lorraine Kennedy Zingg and in 1957 became the father of twin sons, Robert Lee and Rodney Henry Weber, who survive him. He is also survived by a step-daughter, Barbara Bezold, 2 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, many nieces and . nephews, and a sister-in-law, Sybal Weber. Memorial services and inurnment for Henry will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, November 4, 2011 at the Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the Natrona County United Veterans Council and the Wyoming Army National Guard.
