Henry J. Mondle Jr. was born on March 3, 1928 in Gillette Wyoming to Henry J. Mondle Sr. and Lowa Mae (Dennis) Mondle. Henry passed away October 16, 2012, at Shepherd of the Valley Health Care Center. Henry grew up on a dry farm in southwestern Campbell County and attended school in that area. Henry was a veteran of World War /I serving in the Army of Occupation in Italy. After his time in the service he returned to Gillette. Henry married Luanne Rhoads on Oct. 10, 1952 and they had three children. As they raised their children in Gillette, Henry worked for Wyoming Highway Department, Ostlund Inc., Davis Oil Co., IGO Trucking, all the while operating Henry's Refrigeration. Henry's work with Worthen Van Service moved Henry and Luanne to Sterling, Colorado in 1980, Guernsey, Wyoming in 1983 and Casper in 1988. They finished their work careers in Casper managing the Commercial Inn. Henry kept active with many activities including playing the accordion, woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren. His favorite pastime was getting ready to go fishing with friends. He was an active member of his church and the 12-24 Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Luanne, brothers Charlie Mondle and Conrad Mondle, sisters Lilly Mondle, and Bonnie Rowland. He is survived by his daughter Cyndi (Gail) Moravek of Shoshoni, Wyoming, and sons Don (Sherry) Mondle of Gillette, Wyoming and Dave (Joyce) Mondle of Casper. Grandchildren Michael (Casey) Mondle, Megan Mondle, Sarah Mondle, Edwin (Holly) Newbold, and Kassandra Hertz, and 5 great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be held at the Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery, Evansville Wyoming at 2:00 p.m. on October 22. Cremation has taken place. Memorials may be made in Henry's name to Gideons International.
