Henry Royer Clark was born on Aug 3, 1937 in Rock Springs, Wyoming to J. Chauncey and Mary Pryde Clark. He Passed away after a long illness in Casper, Wyoming on May 14, 2018, with his loving family by his side. Henry and siblings were raised on a small ranch outside of Pinedale, Wyoming. He attended Pinedale Grade School and graduated from Pinedale High School in 1955. He was fairly active in after school sports, but liked fishing better. He enlisted in the Marines after high school and served for two years. He then worked as an oil rig hand and other various odd jobs around the Pinedale and Big Piney area. He always loved to fish the creek which ran through his parent's property. He also became a good hunter of elk and deer in his teen years. He learned how to milk cows, and put up hay for feed for animals while on the ranch and fed the animals during the winter months before he went to school each day. No matter where he lived he was always an active church member. After a short time in Indiana, he moved to Casper, Wyoming, where he met and married Oneida Ghoston on June 13, 1979. They lived in Casper and enjoyed many days of fishing and family until Oneida's passing on July 16, 2012. He embraced Oneida's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and family as his own. He is survived by his brother, Julian (Joanne) Clark of Colorado; Sisters, Mary (Harold) Merritt of Utah; and Mary Lou (Harold) Scheiner of Idaho. Stepchildren, Alvin Jones of Rock Springs; Henry McDaniel of Casper; Ranells McDaniel of Casper; Barbara Jackson of Cleveland; OH. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family. Henry is preceded in death by his parents J.Chauncey and Mary Clark, his wife Oneida J. Clark, and stepdaughter Ellen Manuel. Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Rock of Ages Church, 956 North Poplar Street in Casper, Wyoming with a funeral service following at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Mark Lewis officiating. Military Honors will be accorded by the United States Marine Honor Guard and the Natrona County United Veterans Council. Interment will be at the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery in Evansville, Wyoming at a later date. Condolences may be left for the family at bustardsfuneralhome.com.
