Services for Henry (Hank) Carsten, 87, years old will be held Thursday, November 29th at 11:00 A.M. at Bustards Funeral Home. Henry (Hank) Carsten was born May 27th 1931 in Tecumseh Oklahoma. He passed away from Cancer on November 18th at The Hospice House with his beloved Sweetheart Shirley by his side in Casper, WY. Hank and Shirley met when they were younger and Hank was a City Bus driver in Casper, and eventually decided they needed to be together for life. The two were married in Depew, Oklahoma on Dec. 31st 1989. In the Early 70's Hank worked for Ward Transportation, hauling oil. In the 80's and 90's he was an over the road truck driver for PFT Transportation, where they awarded him his own truck and recognized him as a million miler driver. When Hank retired in 1999 he volunteered at the Food Banks of Shawnee Oklahoma where he and Shirley lived. Hank and Shirley moved to Casper in May of this year. Hank did volunteer work for the Food Banks, including Joshua's Store House, Casper Faith Assembly Of God and Mountain View Baptist Church. He loved giving and caring for people. Hank is survived by his Wife, Shirley of 29 years. Sons, Anthony Carsten, Jason Carsten (Wife Wendy), Daughter, Doris Glasgow (Husband Richard) all of Casper, WY. Daughter, Kelly Heslep (Husband Kim) of Pasadena, TX and half-sister Linda Fritch (Husband Ron) of Shawnee, Ok. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren. Hank is preceded in death by his parents, Herman & Imo Carsten. His brothers, David, Leroy, and Albert Lee Carsten , Lester and Micky Eckhardt, Vicki Bailey his sister Lois Richardson and half sister Flossy Darnell. Hank tinkered with anything old and could make it like it was brand new. He loved working in his shop, where he made his great grand daughters highchairs. He also made little farm tractors, birdhouses, napkin holders and paper plate holders. He was very talented with wood. Hank was as kind to animals as he was to everyone he met. He had a heart made of gold. He always had a clean joke and made people laugh. Hank was a One of a kind Gentleman and will be missed by all who was fortunate enough to know him.
