On Thursday August 20, 2020, Helen Ann Lamb (Rieck), loving wife and mother of two sons, passed away at the age of 76, in Casper, Wyoming.
Helen was born June 21, 1944 in Rockford, Illinois to Gerald and Mae Rieck. She moved with her family to a farm near Newman Grove, Nebraska at a young age. They moved to Casper when she was in the 8th grade. She graduated from Natrona County High School in 1962. On June 20th, 1964 she married Robert Wesley Lamb. They raised two sons, Sonny and Joey.
In 1980 the family moved to Buffalo Valley, near Moran, Wyoming, where they lived until returning to Casper in 2009.
Helen enjoyed working at different resorts in Grand Teton National Park until her retirement in June 2008. She was a giving and very hospitable person. She loved having parties and making sure everyone had a good time. She especially enjoyed the Christmas season spent with family and friends.
Helen loved plants, both indoor and out, cooking, and reading. She loved being outside sitting on the deck enjoying God’s creations.
Helen was preceded in death by her father, Gerry, her mother, Mae and her sister Dorothy. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Robert, two sons, Sonny (Janae) and Joey (Nicole) and five grandchildren, Brittany, Skyler, Jordan, Peyton and Wesley.
A memorial service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday September 19, 2020 at City Park Church on the corner of Wolcott and 8th Street in Casper, Wyoming. Reception will follow also at City Park Church.
