Harriet Alice Sowers, 94, of Casper WY, passed away January 5, 2015 at the Wyoming Medical Center. She was born in Omaha, NE, May 31, 1920. Harriet married Al Sowers and they traveled the Rocky Mountain region chasing the drilling rigs and the next big boom. In 1951, they settled in Edgerton/Midwest WY, where their son Dave attended high school. In 1961, they moved to Casper, WY, where she raised her daughter Leila and son Albert Jr.. For the past eleven years, she has resided at Laurel Gardens apartments. She was an avid collector of anything collectable. She dearly loved all of her grandkids. She was preceded in death by her husband Al Sowers, daughter Leila Blake, son Albert Sowers Jr., daughter in-law Mary Lou Sowers, granddaughter Charlene Sowers Tetherow, three brothers and one sister. She is survived by her son Dave Sowers, grandsons Mike (Susie) Sowers, Bruce (Theresa) Sowers, granddaughter Angela Johnston, son in law Gary Blake, grandson in law Bart Tetherow and eight great grandchildren and eleven great great grandchildren. As per Harriet's request there will be no memorial service.
