Harold was born May 24, 1919 on the family farm, west of Vernon Center, Minnesota to Earnest and Anna Riewe. On September 29, 1940, Harold married Vivian Anna Davis. They farmed and raised their family in Minnesota until 1962 when they moved to Riverton, Wyoming. Harold worked at the local acid plant and underground mine until 1964 when he was in a severe car accident. After recovery, he worked for the Riverton School District in Riverton and Gas Hills. He retired from the School District in 1984. Harold and Vivian worked with their rental units until 1998, when they moved to Spokane, Washington, residing with their daughter and son-in-law, Joann and Bill Armstrong. Harold moved back to Riverton in 2000 after the death of granddaughter Lisa Wilk, daughter, Joann Armstrong and love of his life for 60 plus years, wife Vivian. In 2006, Harold moved to Casper, enjoying new friends at his residence at Maurice Griffith Manor in Paradise Valley and his new church family at Mount Hope Lutheran Church. He and his sons Daryl and Curtis went on short car rides and Sunday breakfast on a regular basis. After 91 years, Harold went to his final resting place June 10, 2010 at Wyoming Medical Center, Casper. He is survived by his two sons, Daryl and Curtis and his wife, Beverly; seven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Joann Armstrong, granddaughter, Lisa Wilk, grandson Justin Riewe, two sisters, Easter Fry and Frieda Davis. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, June 14, 2010 at Mount Hope Lutheran Church in Casper, with lunch following. Graveside committal will be at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery in Spokane, Washington, Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 10:00 AM.
