Long-time Casper resident Harold Allen Mason Sr., 70, had a fatal heart attack on Thursday, November 22nd while deer hunting. He was born January 2, 1948 in Wallace, ID to Charles Richard Mason and Evelyn Wilcox Mason. The family settled in Casper in 1957. On October 13, 1965, Harold married Bernice Hollandsworth and they had four children. Harold was employed by Natrona County Road and Bridge for more than 34 years, retiring in 2016. Harold enjoyed practical jokes, farming, gardening, hunting, fishing and his family. Those who will miss his quick wit, wisdom, fellowship and dependable, "love you, buh-bye." include his siblings: Charles Mason of Casper, Everett "Gene" (Rose Marie) Mason of Vancouver, WA, Jarold "Jack" Mason of Turner, OR and little sister Dolores (Charles) Lucero of Evansville; two sons; Harold Mason Jr, Duane (Lizzie) Mason, two daughters, Crystal (Scott) Padilla and Amanda Porter both of Casper; his thirteen grandchildren; Brianna, Patrick (Bailey), Tyler, Casey, Leaf, Braden, Rosie Mason, Shannon (Mark) Togstad, David (Emily) Collins, Danielle (Joshua) Berrios, Ean (Harlei), Hope and Aaliyah Porter, as well as thirteen great-grandchildren; dozens of nieces and nephews; and countless others whom he considered family. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Ralph and grandson Scott. "Dad didn't tell us how to live; he just worked hard and taught us all to do the same." A memorial service is being planned for Father's Day weekend.
