Harlen Myers

Harley Myers was born April 2, 1974 at Wyoming Memorial Hospital in Casper. From that point forward he never lost his Wyoming Spirit. The son of Dr. Harlen and Paula Myers, Harley was very active growing up. He enjoyed playing hockey and loved the outdoors, especially horses. Harley played golf well, but only admitted that to a few people. He was an avid team roper, qualifying for the USTRC finals several times. Harley enjoyed hunting and taking pack horses to hunting camp. For him, the hunting was more about the time spent with family and friends. Harley loved kids and even became known to some as Uncle Hawg. His passion for kids, especially helping them, came from his Mother and Father. Paula taught him to love unconditionally and to put others needs first. She also taught him to give 110% with everything he did. While Doc's love for his patients taught Harley compassion and perseverance. Harley was a proud graduate of the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. His degree was in Agricultural Economics and Chemistry. After college he went to work for WL Plastics in Casper, WY when it was just a small startup company. He was with the company through all of their growth and worked his way up to become Vice president of sales in Cedar City, Utah. Just as it was true in his career, so was true in all aspects of his life; with hard work and determination, Harley excelled in all he pursued. He is preceded in death by his Mother, Paula. Harley is survived by his Father, Dr. Harlen Myers; Step-Mother, Kim; Sister, Jenna; and Nephew, Kherington; as well as, a half-brother and sister, Michael and Jaime. Services will be held Tuesday, May 17th, 2 p.m. at the Indoor Arena at the Natrona County Fairgrounds. Memorial contributions in his honor may be made to the Casper Amateur Hockey Club.
