Funeral Services will be held for Gwendolyn DeMaris Wallace on Thursday, October 18th, 2018 with visitation from 11am to 1pm at Bustard's Funeral Home in Casper, WY and with Graveside services to follow at 2:30pm at Highland Cemetery with the Reverend Dee Lundberg officiating. Gwendolyn was born in Enid, Oklahoma on March 10, 1926 to Clarence E. Wallace and Bernice Albers, and later married John Franklin Tobin. They had three daughters, Sharon Kay Tobin, Lila Jean Tobin and Jo Ann Caseman and two Sons; Lonnie Dean Shaffer and Jay Cecil Shaffer. Gwendolyn later married Gerald L. Shaffer. Some of Gwendolyn's greatest joys were spending time with her grandchildren, quilting, going out dancing, dining out, traveling and camping, her unique joy of collecting rocks and just visiting with others along with playing practical jokes on them. She was loved deeply and will be missed by her children and grandchildren. Gwendolyn is in heaven with her parents, husbands; Gerald L. Shaffer and John F. Tobin, and daughters; Sharon Kay Tobin and Lila Jean Tobin. She is survived by her children. son, Lonnie Dean Shaffer (Rapid City, SD) and his wife, son, Jay Cecil Shaffer and daughter-in-law, Letty Shaffer (Caputa, SD) and daughter Jo Ann Caseman and son-in-law Christopher Caseman (Rochester, WA) as well as numerous grand children and great-grandchildren. Gwendolyn requested, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made in her Honor to the American Foundation for the Blind at afb.org. .
