Gregory Snyder

Gregory (Greg) Snyder (54) passed peacefully at his home on November 8, 2012, after a terminal illness. He was born on June 18, 1958 in Tacoma Washington, later the family moved to Casper, Wyoming. He attended schools in Casper, the Abby in Canyon City, Colorado later graduating from Kelly Walsh High School. While at the Abby he was involved in the boy's glee club enabling him to travel to many locations in Mexico and the United States, as well as being the class president. He married DeeAnn Hatley in the summer of 1989. To this union he was blessed with a son and a daughter. Both were the apple of his eye, the greatest joy and accomplishment in life. He was the most kind hearted and devoted father, son, uncle, brother, and friend, who never met a stranger and was loved by many. He always had a positive attitude and made everyone comfortable even when his illness was at its worst. He enjoyed all outdoor activities, going to the lake rocking his Speedo, collecting miscellaneous items, hiding fireworks for unsuspecting people and shooting bottle rockets. He was especially fond of going to his parent's cabin; he loved the peace and tranquility. Greg had a deep faith and a strong interest in politics. He enjoyed life to the fullest. He is survived by his son David Snyder, daughter DeAngela Snyder and Fiancé Donald Picek. Parents Charles (Chuck) and Nada Snyder, Siblings: Deborah Ramsey, Katie (Larry) Lijewski , Robert (Annie) Snyder all of Casper, Wyoming, James (Dirk) Snyder of Jackson, John (Julie) Snyder of Buffalo, Dana' Slaymaker of Nebraska and Charles (Marti) Snyder of Michigan, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. Mass of Christian Burial for Gregory Thomas Snyder will be celebrated at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 17, 2012 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church by Father Cliff Jacobson. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Friday, November 16, 2012, at Bustard's Funeral Home. Rite of Committal will be conducted at Highland Cemetery, Casper, Wyoming.
