Grace Humberson

October 31, 1922 — April 18, 2019

Grace Arlene Humberson was born October 31, 1922 to Henry Herbert and Lucy (Ridpath) Hill in Blockton, Iowa. She passed away April 18, 2019 in Casper, Wyoming. Grace was raised in Iowa and graduated from Delphos Consolidated in 1940. She worked many different jobs in Mt. Ayr, Des Moines, and Ankeny, Iowa before moving to California in 1942 where she worked in defense plants during World War II. She married Francis C. Curtis and had two children, a boy and a girl, who were lost at birth. They were divorced. She married the love of her life, Ralph C. Humberson, in 1964. Upon retirement in 1976, they moved to Story where they had built a retirement home but moved to Torrington in 1982. Following Ralph's death in 1987 Grace move to Casper. Grace enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading, attending church, and visiting with friends and family. Grace is survived by step-daughter, Carolyn (Robert) Fischer; grandchildren, Lynn Fischer and Cynthia (David) Hanlan; great grandchildren, Jared and Devin Hanlan; and two nieces. Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Lynn Williamson, will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 24 at Shepard of the Hills Presbyterian Church, 4600 S Poplar Street, Casper, Wyoming. Burial will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 25 at Valley View Cemetery in Torrington, Wyoming. Memorial donations may be made in Grace's name to Shepard of the Hills Presbyterian Church or the Casper Senior Center, 1831 E 4th Street, Casper, WY.
