Pat Kennedy, 76, of Kaycee, Wyoming passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010 after a lengthy illness. Pat was born on October 10, 1934 in Dearborn, Michigan to Veronica and Gordon "Pat" Kennedy Sr. He spent his childhood in Michigan, moving as a teen with his parents to Colorado before settling in Casper. He graduated from Natrona County High School in 1953. He attended Casper College for two years. He married Eileen Wingert on September 5, 1953 and spent 57 years together. They resided in Mills. He worked at Amoco Refinery and then Western Airlines in Casper. In 1975, he transferred with Western Airlines which later became Delta Airlines to Sheridan, Wyoming. When Delta shut down in Sheridan he transferred back to Casper and retired in 1994. After retiring, Eileen and he traveled in their 5th wheel and later decided to settle in Kaycee which put them close to their kids and cabin. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and 4 wheeling at their cabin with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He belonged and participated in many organizations; Snow Gypsies, Mills/Mountain View Jaycees, the Lion's club, Knights of Columbus and Boys Scouts. He and Eileen both taught first aid for the Red Cross for 25 years. He helped start the first EMT program in Casper, along with being a vital member of Mills Volunteer Fire Dept. for 35 years. He held positions on the Mills Town Council, Water Board and served as the Towns Municipal Judge. He is survived by wife Eileen, children, Donna (wife of late son, Patrick), Eileen Vee and husband Verlin Decker, Raeleen and husband Teno Montoya, Kaeleen and husband Keith Jones, and Terri Voogd. Grandchildren include Janel, Paki, Megan, Kaleb, Jacob, Nicole, Elya, Lena, Zeb, and Jeremy. Plus 12 Great Grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Thea Ford and husband Burl, Margaret Herron and husband Art, Mary Campbell and husband Jim, Sally Kennedy and brothers, Mike Kennedy and wife Carol, Chuck Snyder and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Valentine, son Patrick, granddaughter Izzy brother John, and sister Georgia. The viewing will be held at Bustards Funeral Friday October 15th from 3 -7pm. Funeral mass will be held at St. Anthony's Church on Saturday October 16th at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers those that would prefer can make a donation to their favorite Charity.
