Longtime North Casper resident Gloria May Stewart left this world Tuesday 9/20/2016 after a long battle of health issues. She will be sorely missed by a multitude of friends and family. Gloria was a loving and very caring, spiritual soul and always willing to help those in need, any way she was able. The neighborhood children always knew that they would be fed at Aunt Gloria's'. She was preceded in death by her son William Stewart Jr. , who passed in 2012 and eldest daughter Diane Stewart, who passed May, 2016 and has gone on to join them with our lord in Heaven. Gloria is survived by her soulmate William Stewart Sr., Daughter Sharon Cox ,Son in Law Dennis Cox, residing in Alaska and Son Steven J. Stewart and Sisters Cordilia Heubeschwerlin and Karla Coquinot, residing in Casper. She also left behind 6 Grandsons, 3 Granddaughters, 4 Great Grandsons and 3 Great Granddaughters. She was known as "Super Grandma" by her Great Grandchildren. Gloria also had Many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins and had many lifelong friends in Casper and abroad that she considered and loved as family. Gloria spent her younger days active in the community, devoting her spare time to various charitable endeavors. She was also passionate about environmental issues in North Casper and went nose to nose with some heavy hitters with the oil companies and the railroad regarding pollution of North Casper and the North Platte River from the old refinery days. There will be a small service October 8th at Isaac Walton Park at Ft. Casper Starting at 2:00pm with a celebration of life directly after.
