Gloria Deane Lesher passed away on May 28, 2013 as a result of an auto accident. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM, Monday, June 10, 2013 at Bustard's Funeral Home. Interment will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Lander, WY. She was born on June 19, 1929 in Madison, Kansas, the youngest of three girls, to Roy and Laura Henry. She grew up on a farm near Kinnear, WY and graduated from Morton High School in May of 1948. Shortly after graduating high school she married Albert H. Gale and had three sons, Robert, John, and Jimmy. She later divorced Albert and on July 9, 1962 married James W. Lesher. They made their home in Lander, WY where they raised their children. Gloria worked as a short order cook at Dairy Queen and The Husky Super Stop Café in Lander until she retired. After she retired she started to travel, living in Jackson, WY, Palisade, CO and finally Casper, WY. She loved the adventures new places had to offer and wasn't afraid to try new things. Some of her trips included whitewater rafting, swimming in the ocean, swimming in the ocean, going on cruises and many bus guided tours across the United States. One of her last trips was with Jimmy and his family, to Jamaica, to see her granddaughter get married. Gloria also loved to bowl, play pool, take trips to the casino, put together jigsaw puzzles and in her spare time read the bag of books she picked up from the library each week. And regardless of the weather she would take her walks, always having a smile on her face and a wave of hello to you. Gloria loved her grandchildren. She would often take them out for breakfast or lunch, accompany them to the park, or sit and tell stories of her childhood. She never forgot a birthday or anniversary. She will always be remembered for her smile and love of the outdoors. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Carolyn and her husband, James of 35 of 35 years. She is survived by her sister Marilyn of Colorado, her sons Robert Gale of California, John Gale of Texas, Jimmy Gale and his wife of Casper, her stepson Larry Lesher of Lander, WY, and stepdaughter Eileen Pulsipher of Lander, WY. She also has seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In n lieu of flowers memorials can be made out to Chande Medical Project, Global Outreach International, PO Box 1, Tupelo, Mississippi 38802.
