Gloria Marie Jackman passed away early Holy Thursday morning, March 28, 2013 at Central Wyoming Hospice. She was born in Galveston, Texas on December 17, 1923, the daughter of Italian immigrants, Emmanuel and Olga Giusti DaPra. Gloria attended St. Mary's school and Sacred Heart Academy, graduating in 1940 at the age of 16 after which she went to work for the American National Insurance Co. in Galveston. Gloria married Dick Jackman, a serviceman stationed at FT Crockett in 1946. They moved to Casper and were later divorced. She worked for the NCHS cafeteria for many years, retiring as manager. She was a long-time member of St. Anthony's Church. She had been active in St. Anthony's Mother's Club and was a member of the retired NCHS employees' group and many bridge groups. Her greatest joys were her many friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Teresa DaPra Snyder, a brother John Angelo DaPra, and an infant granddaughter, Stacy Marie True. She is survived by her children, Dean and his wife Rebecca of Billings, MT and Melanie and her husband Dave True of Casper; grandchildren Neith Jackman and Dorian Jackman, Shane and his wife JoAnn True, Christy and her husband Quintin LeClercq, Bryce and his wife Kelsey True, and Ashley True; and greatgrandchildren Ellie, Elijah, Rand, and Delaney True and Brayden LeClercq. She is also survived by two nephews, Paul Snyder JR., M.D. of Scottsdale, AZ and John M. DaPra of Galveston, TX. A celebration of Gloria's life will be held at a later date.
