Gladys Jeanette (Pittman) Yates June 5, 1933 - February 8, 2015 Gladys J. Yates, 81, of Casper, passed away at her home on February 8, 2015. She was born to Martin and Pearl Jorstad on their family farm outside of Tioga, ND on June 5, 1933. She married Richard F. Pittman on August 11, 1953. They had three children together, Denise Jeannette, Kelly Brian, and Richard John. They divorced after 23 years of marriage. On June 2, 1978, Gladys married Ed Yates. They divorced in December 2001. Gladys taught 1st grade for 32 years in Wyoming, Washington, California and North Dakota. She also started nine successful businesses. Her greatest accomplishments were becoming a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Along with earning her bachelor's degree in education from the University of Wyoming and traveling to all 50 state capitals with her sister, Agnes. She is proceed in death by her son, Kelly, her parents, Martin and Pearl Jorstad, three brothers, Marvin, Maynard and Martin Jr., and two sisters, Violet and Mavis. She is survived by her sister Agnes Monahan, Ontario, Cali., her daughter Denise Yates, Casper, Wyo., her son Richard Yates (Karen), Chewton, Aust., three grandchildren, Hayley Yates (Joshua Cleeland), Melbourne, Aust., Zachary Yates (Jessica), Brisbane, Aust., Jessica Entel (John), Lovell, Wyo., and three great-grandchildren, Andrew, Jeremiah and Josie Entel, Lovell, Wyo. Viewing for Gladys Yates will be held Tuesday, February 17th, 2015 from 5-7pm at Bustard's Funeral Home. Her celebration of life will be held Wednesday, February 18th, 2015 at 3pm at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 51 Primose in Paradise Valley. Mom, You shared your life with me, and you guided and nurtured me through mine. With you I have countless memories of our time together. In that time you showed me your Strength, Faith, Forgiveness, Sense of humour and always your Love. To have only that one person in life to call, Mom. I'm very blessed to have had you.
