Mass of Christian Burial for Gilbert Glynn will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, Monday, February 14, 2011 at Lady of Fatima Catholic Church by Fr. Robert Fox. Viewing will be from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Bustard's Funeral Home. Vigil for the Deceased will be recited at 7:00 PM, Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will be conducted at Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the Natrona County United Veterans Council and the Wyoming Army National Guard. Gilbert Glynn, 81, passed away February 8, 2011 at Wyoming Medical Center following a long illness. He was born October 29, 1929 to Joseph and Ann (Gallagher) Glynn in Waseca, MN. He graduated from Garden City High School, Garden City, MN in 1947. Gilbert then enlisted in the Navy from 1950 to 1954 in which he served in the Korean War. On August 11, 1952 he married the love of his life, Dorothy Jean Crouter in Sleepy Eye, MN. To this union seven children were born. Gilbert moved his family to Casper, WY on June 16, 1960. Gilbert worked and managed Commercial Refrigeration till his first retirement in April, 1992. Then from June 1, 1994 until March, 2009, he worked with his son at Kelly's Alignment. Gilbert also taught refrigeration classes. He was a very active 4-H leader for 25 years in livestock which gave him many happy times. He also belonged to the American Legion, was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. His hobbies included spending time with his family, raising livestock, fishing and camping. He was an avid reader. Gilbert is survived by his wife of 58 ½ years, Dorothy, daughters, Lynda (Sam), Evans, Glenrock, WY, Karen (Norman, Jr.) Lancaster, Danville, CA, Patty Jo Glynn and Kathleen (Adrian) Turner of Fremont, CA, sons, Sean Casey (Cherly) and Kelly (Sandy) Glynn of Evansville, James C. (Pamela) Glynn, Dothamn, AL, sisters, Betty Kanz, Sister Peggy Glynn, Sister Mary Liana Glynn, Jonie Fleshman, and Sharon Oberman, brother, Martin (Judy) Glynn. Gilbert is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 4 step grandsons and 9 great grandchildren, numerous Nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by brothers Ronald, Robert and John, also his parents. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials in Gilbert's honor be made to the St. Joseph's Indian School, Chamberlain, SD, 57326.
