Georgia passed away on May 16, 2014 at her home in Casper of natural causes. She has gone home to be with her husband Tom of 50 years. She was born on September 6, 1941. The oldest of two children. Georgia was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-Day Saints, and belonged to the Casper 1st ward. She worked many years for the Las Vega Metropolitan Police Department as the Secretary to captain Harry Reed. She also worked for the Salem, Oregon State Police where she was instrumental in organizing the "Shop with a Cop" program which benefited the lower income children at Christmas. She is survived by her mother, Bea Welch of Casper; six sons, Ken (Carolyn) Nelson of Casper, Ricky Nelson of Casper, Greg (Kathy) Schreiner of Las Vegas, NV, Bradley and Alan Schreiner of Long Beach, CA, and Tommy Lee of Casper. Also surviving are five daughters, Karen (Craig) Crippin of Las Vegas, NV, Tammy (David) Brooke of Syracuse, UT, Taresa (Ken) Schreiner of Elkton, OK, and Jennifer Schreiner of Syracuse, UT; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, George R. Welch; husband, Thomas J. Schreiner; and brother, Gary L. Welch. A viewing will be held at the LDS Wolf Creek Stake Center on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at the LDS Wolf Creek Stake Center. Interment will be held at the Oregon Trail Veteran's Cemetery immediately following services.
