George Kindt

Memorial services for George C. Kindt, 81, will be held Monday, May 10, 2010 at Bustard's Funeral Home in Casper. Cremation has taken place. Mr. Kindt died at his home May 6, 2010 of a broken heart. George was born in Garden, Colorado October 30, 1928 to John and Neddie Kindt. He was raised and educated in Kaycee, Wyoming by his sister. He worked as a cowboy on various ranches. After a whirlwind relationship and one of the worst storms that winter, he decided to marry the love of his life, Joan Heggie. They were wed by the justice of the peace in Douglas on December 7, 1957. George worked on many constructions jobs throughout Wyoming, Nevada, Idaho and Alaska. They settled in Glenrock after the company he worked for landed a job with Exxon. He also worked on the Alaska Pipeline for two years. He retired from North Antelope Coal in 1995 after 11 years of service. He is survived by his children, Kurt Kindt (Mary Kay), Deb Huxtable (John), three grandchildren, Tom Huxtable (Kaycee), Misti Allen (Ross) Kaylynn Kindt, three great grandchildren, Kaleb and Avery Huxtable and Brody Allen, three step grandchildren, Carl Federer (Ashley) Jake Federer (Ashley) Jimmy Federer and their families. He is also survived by one sister, Leota Throckmorton of Wheatland, Johnny Kindt of Hawaii, sister-in-law, Margaret Cook of Glenrock and many nieces and nephews. He will always be remembered by all of his many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years in 2008.
