Funeral services for Mr. George Peter Bisgaard will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, October 13, 2014 at the 7th Day Adventist Church with Pastor Weldon Treat officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the Natrona County United Veterans Council and the United States Army Honor Guard. Interment will be at Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery. Mr. Bisgaard, 89, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 in Casper. He was born in Nisland, South Dakota to Chris and Kathryn Bisgaard on December 15, 1924, where he grew up. He graduated from Bronc High School in Belle Fourche, SD. He enlisted in the Army in 1944 and served for two years. He was honorably discharged in 1946. Mr. Bisgaard then graduated from the Belle Fourche Teachers College in Spearfish, SD. He moved to Belle Fourche where he married Elenor Albertson on July 29, 1950. They had three boys, Fred, Ed and Bob. They divorced in 1958. George was a school teacher for many years. He also worked at Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home. This is where he met the love of his life, Fleetah Gurski. They married on August 20, 1977. He is survived by his wife, Fleetah Bisgaard, brothers, Calvin (Lauri) Bisgaard of Rapid City, South Dakota, Carol (Sherry) of Bailey, Colorado, sister-in-law, Angela Bisgaard of Belle Fourche, SD. Also surviving are his three sons, Fred (Darlene) of Dayton, Ohio, Ed (Wanda) of Loveland, CO., Bob Bisgaard of Evanston, WY. Four stepdaughters, Tammy (Kevin) Galyen of Casper,Tina Laird of Prescott, AZ, Christine (Todd) Plunkett of Casper, WY, Lisa Gentile of Casper and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren He was preceded in death by both parents and his brother, Norman Bisgaard.
