Gary Hans

Casper native Gary Walter Hans, 58 passed away at his home, Sunday January 28, 2018 after a long illness. Gary was the youngest born to Hugo and Lorraine Hans on January 30, 1959. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Shirley Green, Paula Hans and brother Chuck Hans. Gary is survived by his wife of almost 40 years Pam, Son Michael, daughter-in-law Samantha, grandkids Payton and Lucus and Son Mathew Hans. Brothers Bob (Jenny) Litke and Ken (Pat) Hans. Also several nieces, nephews and many friends. Gary received his GED in 1986 and worked various jobs including 10 years with Stewart and Stevenson. After surrendering to the Gospel Ministry he was ordained by Mountain View Baptist Church in March of 1999 and called to be pastor of Sunrise Baptist Church in February 2000. He served there until retiring in April 2017 due to health reasons. He received two diplomas from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, through the Wyoming Southern Baptist CLD program. Diploma in Christian Ministry, 2009 and Diploma in Theology, 2013. He loved serving the Lord any way he could. His great sense of humor and love for people made it easy for him to share God's love and encourage people wherever he was. A Memorial Service will be held at Sunrise Baptist Church, 3990 So McKinley Friday February 2nd at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, Memorials can be made to Sunrise Baptist Church or charity of donor's choice.
