Garland Ohnstad, 86, of Casper, Wyoming passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018 surrounded by family at Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions. Garland was born February 16, 1932 in Gardner, North Dakota. As a small boy, his family moved to Casper where he attended school, graduating from Natrona County High School in 1950. After graduation Garland enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Okinawa. Upon his return, Garland began his career with Standard Oil of Indiana (AMOCO). He worked in both the Midwest field and the Casper refinery. He retired with 33 years of service. He married Joan Gallegos and had four children. They later divorced. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Stuckard. Garland is survived by his daughters, Patty Kirby (Bill), Nancy Garrison (Late Andy), and Gloria Roberts (Jim); one son, Jim Ohnstad; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Clarice Yankey; nieces; nephews; and his much loved dog, Missy. Services will be held Friday, December 28, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
