Frank Morgan Pendleton, age 96, passed away June 13, 2016 at Central Wyoming Hospice with family by his side. Frank was born December 4, 1919 in Eldorado, Arkansas to Jack Herbert and Eva Lena Morgan Pendleton. He was the youngest of three brothers. He graduated from Eldorado High School in 1938. After graduation he joined the Arkansas National Guard and served in the Aleutian Islands as a Sergeant in the United States Army during WWII. After his honorable discharge he moved to Hobbs, New Mexico to help rebuild the New Mexico National Guard. In Hobbs he met Shirley Ann Smith and they married October 13, 1945. In the early 1950s, Frank and his family moved to Casper, Wyoming. He worked for Christenson Appliances and later was a sales representative for a large appliance wholesale distributing company. In the late 1960s he joined Farmers Insurance Groupas a District Manager and later opened his Farmers Insurance Agency in the Sunrise Shopping Center. When not working, Frank enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing boating, camping, travel and watching baseball, football and music. As a long time Deacon of the First Baptist Church he supported a lay ministry held at the old Bates Creek School/Community Hall. He was known for his devotion to family, great sense of humor and love of good food. Frank was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and his brothers, William H. and Jack L. Pendleton. Surviving family members are his daughter, Lolena Ann Shambaugh (Dennis); granddaughter, Ginger L. Barrett (John); grandson, Kent O. Shambaugh; greatgrandchildren, Jeremy Barrett (Jennifer), Kayleigh M. Barrett, Dennis C. Barrett; and two great- greatgrandchildren; all living in Casper. Frank is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Frank believed it was important to express appreciation. His daughter wishes to express appreciation to the family members, doctors, nurses, caregivers, volunteers and friends who have assisted Frank these past few years. As Frank would say "Thank you, you did a good job". A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 22 at 1:00 p.m. at Highland Cemetery.
