A memorial service for Frank John Lore will be held September 9, 2017, at the American Legion in Douglas, Wyoming at 2:00 P.M. Mr. Lore passed away peacefully August 19, 2017 with his daughter by his side. He was born November 14, 1940 in Douglas, the youngest of eight children born to Floyd and Julia Lore. Frank was reared and educated in Douglas, graduating in 1958. He attended Casper College, for a time, developing his love for writing. He later enlisted in the Army National Guard. On November 20, 1965 he married Randi Kay Schlichting. Their union brought a daughter, Brenda Deanne, and a son, Christopher Merwin, into this world. Their marriage didn't last, but their friendship did. Frank loved to fish. Trips to "The Ponds" for Brookies, or to Glendo for Walleye were always on his "to do" list. He was also an avid bowler. He bowled on many leagues over the years, mostly for fun, but enjoyed the big win! He was a sports fanatic when it came to the Wyoming Cowboy football and basketball teams, and of course, the Denver Broncos! He never missed a game! He was a hard worker, a laborer all of his life. Working many years at Eagle Engineering and Menter Sand and Gravel. The love for his family and friends had no end. He would help and do what he could, at the drop of a hat. He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Julia, his brothers, Leonard, Wayne, Valjean and Floyd "Pug" Lore, and his sisters, Mildred Cheerici and Dorothy Piles. He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Williams of Douglas; son, Christopher Lore, of Douglas; sister, Laurel Robidoux, of Douglas; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
