Frances Lembeck

Frances Louise (Sweeney) Lembeck, 94, of Casper passed away on March 22, 2016 at Meadow Wind Assisting Living with her daughters at her side. Frances was born October 25, 1921 in Fort Worth, Texas, to Catherine (McHugh) and James Sweeney and had an older sister Mary Catherine Sweeney. The family moved to Casper, Wyoming when Frances was three to meet her father's brother, Patrick Sweeney and ran a grocery store, the Sweeney Brothers. Frances attended St. Anthony School graduating in 1935. She attended Natrona County High School graduating in 1939. In April, 2013, she was honored by the Partners in Education of St. Anthony's Tri-Parish School as a living member of the graduating class of 1935. Frances married Urban W. Lembeck in 1947 at St. Anthony's Church in Casper. Urban was in the U.S. Navy until 1959 when they moved back to Casper with 3 girls Linda, Patricia and Mary Margaret. As a housewife, she enjoyed sewing suits and dresses for her girls. Frances worked in the house until the girls were grown and then went to work at the Natrona County Library in June, 1962 and retired in April, 1984. She was a member of St. Anthony's Church and a charter member of the Bishop's Guild. After retirement she and Urban traveled in their 5th wheel to visit children and grandchildren for all special events and holidays. After Urban died in 2001, Frances continued to travel with family. Frances is preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister and step-father Patrick Sweeney. Frances is survived by her children Linda Lembeck, Pat (Jeff Walker), Mary Margaret (Roy Burgess) and grandchildren Brian, Brent (Rose) Walker, Brad (Brooke), Anna Burgess and Kate (Josh Zavala). Funeral liturgy for Frances Lembeck will be celebrate at St. Anthony's Church by Reverend Lucas Simango, March 29, 2016 at 10:00 am. A rosary and viewing at Bustard's Funeral Home March 28, 2016 at 3:30 pm. Rite of Committal will be held at Highland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
