Frances Josephine (Evans) Jones, 97, died on September 11, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. A graveside service will be held at Highland Cemetery on Wednesday, September, 14th at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2016 from 3:00PM - 5:00PM at Bustard's Funeral Home. Frances was born April 5, 1919 to Harold D. Evans and Ivy (Martin) Evans in Dixon, Illinois. Her father moved the family to Lusk, WY and finally to Casper, when she was 7 years old. She graduated from Natrona County High School in 1937. After high school, she worked for the commissary where she met her husband Bill Jones. They eloped in December, 1940. Bill became an instant father of Frances' 5 month old son Ben and 11 months later they welcomed their son Larry. Daughter Susan was born nine years later. Frances was a homemaker; sold beauty Counselor cosmetics and was an active member of St. Mark's Alter Guild for many years. She enjoyed playing bridge and attending jazz festivals. Frances and Bill passed on their love of the Jackson Hole area to many of their family. Frances and Bill celebrated 72 years of marriage. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, husband, both sons and grandson David Amend. She is survived by her daughter Susan (Dan) Bush; daughter's-in-law Sheri Amend and Pat (Jones) Taylor; grandchildren Jennifer Cunningham, Daniel Bush, Amy Cooper, Stephen Jones, Denise Bell, & Scott Amend; special granddaughter Kristy Kellch, who took wonderful care of her for the past few years. Also she is survived by 12 great-grandchildren and numerous great great-grandchildren, and her extended family at Mountain Plaza Assisted Living. Memorials to Central Wyoming Hospice or Meals on Wheels or charity of donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
