Mr. Floyd Wallace Roth, 91, of Casper, WY passed away April 5, 2016 in Casper, WY. He was born November 10, 1924 in Deweese, Nebraska to Fern Schlick and Joseph Roth. Floyd proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater with the 21st Infantry Regiment, and the 24th Infantry Division. During his service he was awarded the Philippine Liberation Ribbon, Bronze Star, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and WWII Victory Medal. In 2010 Floyd got to go on the Honor Flight Wyoming as a result of his exemplary service and dedication to his country. Floyd made Casper, WY home where he met the love of his life Madolyn "Pat" Sword. On April 8, 1961 he was lucky enough to marry Pat. Floyd worked at the Texaco refinery as a pipe fitter until his retirement. Retirement did not slow him down at all; he continued to remain very active as the Treasurer of the Texaco Refinery Retirees Club, he was on the zoning board for the town of Mills and delivered meals for over 30 years as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. He also really enjoyed working in his yard. His gardens may not have always turned out just how he would have liked but his yard was always immaculate. He was an avid walker. Floyd was a kind hearted, loving, and compassionate man whom leaves us a legacy of honesty, integrity, and hard work to carry forward. He is survived by his wife of nearly 55 years, Madolyn "Pat" of Casper; his children, Sandra Christman of Buffalo, WY, Joseph Roth of Phoenix, AZ, Harvey (Dixie) Roth of Tonasket, WA, Barbara (Woody) Youngren of Oregon City, OR, and Steve (Sherri) Sword of Casper, WY; brother Kenneth Roth of Napa, ID; sister Mae Oguri of Troutdale, OR; as well as 20 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchild.
