Florence Hughes

Florence B. (Hodge) Hughes, age 99, of Casper, WY. went to be with the Lord on January 26,2021.

She was born August 30, 1921 to Roman and Nora (Ridge) Bachelder in Eustis, Maine, and the family moved to Cambridge, MA. Where Florence grew up and graduated from high school. She then went on to get her Nursing degree.

Florence was united in marriage to J.W. Hodge to this union 4 children were born. This marriage was later dissolved. Florence married Willie “Bill” Hughes and they made their home in Augusta, GA. In 2007 Florence moved to Casper, WY. Bill  passed away in 1990.

After a 3-decade long career in nursing Florence retired from Veteran Hospital in Augusta, GA.

Florence got pleasure from sewing and crocheting, she also took care of the nursery at Overcomers Outreach Center.

Awaiting her in heaven, husband, Bill Hughes; son Paul Hodge; step-daughter, Shelia Hughes Fletcher.

Left to cherish her memory, 3 children, Karen Collins, Casper, WY, Ron (Ilene) Hodge, Cummings, Ga, Michael (Nancy) Hodge, Goose Creek, SC.; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.

Services will be held in Casper, WY. and Martinez, GA. at Overcomers Outreach Center later.
