Euverda Plucknett

October 15, 1929 — September 2, 2015

Long time Casper resident, Euverda Plucknett, (85) went to her loving Savior's arms, September 2, 2015 following a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Euverda was born on October 15, 1929 to Herman Otto and Mary (Schmidt) Krause on a farm near Jansen, NE. Her childhood was spent in Plymouth and Beatrice, NE, where she met and married Floyd Plucknett on December 7, 1946 upon his return from his military service in the Philippine Islands and Korea. During their marriage they lived in Nebraska, Missouri and moved to Casper, Wyoming in 1961. They were charter members of Mount Hope Lutheran Church and were active members their entire lives. Four children were born to the family: Becky, Lana, Lon and Ann, followed by 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Survivors include daughters Becky Spahn and Ann Ronshaugen, both of Casper. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd; her daughter, Lana Washut Clark Smith; son, Lon Plucknett; and grandson, Kent Spahn. Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Mount Hope Lutheran Church with Pastor Jakob Berger officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday the 4th from 4:00-6:00PM at Bustard's Funeral Home. Memorial contributions in her honor may be made to Central Wyoming Hospice or Mount Hope Lutheran Church.
