Eugene Salisbury

Eugene Dallas Salisbury Sr., 70, of Casper Wyoming, passed away February 2, 2015. "Gene" was born on June 17, 1944, in Dickinson, North Dakota. He graduated high school and joined the Navy, serving on the U.S.S. Constellation for four years. In 1965 he married his wife, Margaret, whom he was married to for 49 years. Throughout the years, Gene was a crusher foreman, mechanic and welder, and loved being able to fix things. During his retirement, he spent countless hours volunteering for Wyoming CARES, and received numerous honors for all he did there. Gene was an avid reader who would always have a book with him. He was a compassionate, caring man who loved his family and especially his grandchildren. His smile and wisdom will be truly missed by those who love him. Gene is survived by his wife, his children Gene Jr. (Barb), Jim and Cindi, his grandchildren Cassidy, Abbi, Lorali, Clayton, Kyle and Cody, his great-granddaughter Klaira and his sister Marlynn. He was preceded in death by his mother and father (Dallas and Eleanor) and sister (Diane). Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, February 9, 2015 at Bustard's Funeral Home with Leon Chamberlain officiating. Viewing will be from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Bustard's. Military honors will be accorded by the Natrona County United Veterans Council and the Wyoming Army National Guard. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Casper Vet Center, 1030 N. Poplar St., Ste. B, Casper, WY, 82601.
