Eugene Goodrich

Funeral services for Gene Goodrich will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday August 29, 2012 at Bustard Funeral Home. Viewing will be held Tuesday August 28, 2012, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Bustard's Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Highland Park Cemetery. Following graveside services, a reception will be held at 7111 Trevett Lane, Casper, WY. 82604. All family and friends are invited. Gene, 83 passed away August 24, 2012 at Central Wyoming Hospice. He was born April 8, 1929 in Mills Wyoming, son of Alvin (Stub) and Wilma Goodrich. February 19, 1949 he married Mavis Elaine (Wright) Goodrich and they had two children, Gary Goodrich of Gillette, WY and Rick Goodrich of Casper, WY. Mavis passed away August 1967. April 24, 1971 Gene married Laurine Bryant; she passed away June 1, 2010. Gene graduated from NCHS. Gene started work as an automotive body man at age 13 and started to work for the Buick dealer for 5 years, then worked for Coliseum Motors until he started his State Farm office in the mid 1960's till his retirement in 1994. The years of retirement he and his wife Laurine spent traveling the county in their motor home and wintering at their home in Hemet California. Gene's interests include working on wood projects in his shop/garage, going to the lake with his motor home and boat, and mastering fishing. He was an Elks club member for 63 years. He loved spending time with family and friends. Survivors include two sons, Gary Goodrich of Gillette and Rick Goodrich of Casper, two step children Dennis (Cindy) Bryant of Casper and Teresa (Brion) Peterson of Casper, one brother Wayne and wife Ronnie Goodrich of Colorado, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Wilma Goodrich, and one sister Betty May Goodrich. In lieu of flowers, family requests that donations be made in his name to Central Wyoming Hospice & Transitions of Casper.
