Etta Jean Byrtus, 93, of Fort Collins, Colorado, passed away on March 23, 2017. Born in Buffalo, Wyoming on May 31, 1923, to William and Ella Campbell. Etta Jean spent many years in Buffalo before moving to Lincoln, Nebraska where she married Allen L. Baade. After Allen passed away in 1949, Etta Jean returned to Buffalo where she met and married Edward A. Byrtus. They continued to live in Buffalo until moving to Casper in 1966. Etta Jean then moved to Fort Collins to be closer to family and friends. She is survived by her son, William A. Byrtus, Southern Pines, North Carolina; daughters, Pamela D. Sedlacek, Lincoln, Nebraska and Mary J. Hansen, Fort Collins, Colorado; sisters-in-law, Beverly Crawford, Buffalo, Wyoming and Jean Byrtus, Sheridan, Wyoming; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Bustard's Funeral Home, 600 CY Avenue in Casper with David Sedlacek officiating. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Etta's name to Pathways Hospice of Fort Collins or Casper Meals on Wheels.
