Ethel Dunn

Ethel Dowler Smith Dunn passed away December 25, 2012 at Poplar Living Center from complications of Parkinson's. She was born August 25, 1931 in Casper to Arthur John Dowler and Faye Viola Bennett. Ethel graduated from NCHS in 1949 and then attended Casper College for one year. She worked at the Rialto Theater, Ayres Jewelry and Tip Top Grocery. She married William Smith in 1950. Two children were born to this union, Deloras (Bill) Elmore and Bruce (Mary) Smith. She married William Dunn in 1961 in Elko, Nevada. They moved to Salem, Oregon where she spent the next 37 years. While in Salem, she worked at Stevens & Sons Jewelry, Salem Steel and Saffron Supply. Ethel enjoyed bowling , camping and singing in the church choir and "Just For Fun Singers". In 2001 she moved back to Casper. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, one sister, three brothers, an infant granddaughter and stepson. She is survived by her children, stepson, Robert Dunn, grandchildren Lynn (Jeff) Allen, Ron Elmore, Bryan (Jennifer) Smith, Robert Daniel Dunn, 3 great grandchildren, Rachel, Laney and Tyler Allen, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorials may be made to Joshua's Storehouse or Meals on Wheels. Graveside services for family will be at Highland Cemetery at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 29, 2012. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 29, 2012 at First Christian Church, 520 CY Ave, Casper, with Pastor Keith Evans and Tom Dowler officiating.
