Eric Allen Smith passed January 27, 2017 in his hometown, Casper, Wyoming. Services are planned for Friday, February 3, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Bustard's Funeral Home with Rev. Lynn Williamson officiating. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery. He is survived by his daughter, Ava Renee Ann K. Smith, whom he loved immensely; his father, Allen T. Smith Jr.; his mother, Renee Smith; his younger brother, Kevin Smith, and two sisters, Keri Owen and Brenda Smith. He also leaves behind his paternal grandmother, Kathleen Smith; his niece, Natalie Owen and several extended family members. Eric is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Reuben and Helen Sitzman, his paternal grandfather, Allen T. Smith Sr., and his younger brother Brent T. Smith. He is also preceded by many close friends and extended family members. Born November 1, 1974, raised in Casper, WY, he graduated from Kelly Walsh High School and attended Casper College. After school, Eric worked as a mason's tender which he really enjoyed. He had many interests including his daughter, music (especially drumming), camping, hiking, rocks & fossils, art, poetry and shooting. He always had a great sense of humor, pulling pranks and making jokes to light up the days. He never went anywhere without a pair of drumsticks, and you could find him drumming on almost anything. Eric had a pure heart and cared deeply for those he loved. He was a proud, life-time member of the NRA, but, his biggest pride and joy was his daughter, Ava. Not a day went by that he didn't say how much he loved. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to his daughter's education fund in care of Raymond James, or to NAMI Wyoming (National Alliance for mental Illness.
