Enid (Tina) E. Curry was born Feb. 5, 1923 in Escondido CA. She attended primary school in Chico California, then back to Escondido for High School. On Jan. 10, 1942 she married her high school sweetheart Leo Curry in Yuma Arizona. Their first residence was in Fallbrook CA where Leo was employed on a survey crew. About a year later her husband switched jobs and started surveying for Geophysical Oil Exploration and the couple followed this work through California, and into Wyoming where their children were born. Then it was off to Louisiana then Edmonton Alberta Canada. Wanting a less transient, life the couple returned to wonderful Douglas WY just in time for the blizzard of '49. When the Glendo pre-construction survey was completed they were transferred to Casper and purchased their first home in the Pineview Meadows Subdivision. Tina was employed first by Mobile Oil Co then the Pineview School. Still she somehow found time to be a Sunday school teacher, a Brownie Leader, and later a Girl Scout Leader and Cub Scout Den Mother. In 1964, with the help of their many friends, the family built their cabin at Alcova. Tina was an excellent swimmer and water skier. In 1967 the family was transferred to Lakewood Colorado. About 6 years later they took early retirement and returned to their Alcova Cabin. In 1999 the couple moved back to Casper where Tina quietly lived out the rest of her life, passing away in her home in Paradise Valley on December 2, 2011.
