Memorial services for Emmett Andrew Fielder will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, April 14, 2014 at the Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery Chapel with Buddy Hanson officiating. Military honors will be accorded the Natrona County United Veterans Council and the Wyoming Army National Guard. Following the service, there will be a reception at the VFW Post 10969, 1800 Bryan Stock Trail, Casper, Wyoming. Mr. Fielder, 62, passed away April 8, 2014 in Casper following a short illness with cancer. He was born May 9, 1951 in Roanoke, Virginia, the son of Charles W. and Ethel R. (Love) Fielder. He was a high school graduate and worked as a heavy equipment operator. Emmett married Judy Kornder March 26, 1971 in Lander, Wyoming. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving his country in the United States Navy from 1969 to 1970. He enjoyed hunting, horseback riding, fishing and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Judy, of Mills, son, Luke Fielder of Denver, CO, granddaughter, Brooke Fielder of Mills, mother-in-law, Phyllis Kornder of Rock Springs, WY, three sisters, Sally, Marie and Martha and four brothers, Larry, Bob, Doug and Charles, Jr. and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles, mother, Ethel, sister, Rebecca Grahm and father-in-law, Don Kornder. Memorials to the Fielder family would be appreciated to help defray medical and funeral expenses.
