Ellen Louise Ramirez, 69, of Douglas, died the morning of Monday, December 31, 2012 at the Converse County Memorial Hospital. Ellen Louise (Gray) Ramirez was born August 16, 1943 in Casper, Wyoming, the daughter of James and Mary Louise (Ackerman) Gray. She attended and graduated from Natrona County High School in 1961. Ellen was united in marriage to Joe Ramirez, Jr. in July 23, 1969 in Rawlins, Wyoming. She was a housewife and later worked for the Wyoming Highway Department in Casper and Douglas, where she retired. Her favorite past times included reading, fishing, bowling and crochet. She loved having the families over on Sundays for dinner and no one will ever forget her tortillas. She is survived by her husband, Joe, Jr. of Douglas; Sons, Scott Ramirez of Colorado Springs, Co, Chuck Carroll of Bushnell, Florida, daughter, Shana Collett of Casper, stepson, Sonny Ramirez of Casper, stepdaughter, Deena Roche of Springfield, Oregon, 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, brothers, Jesse Gray of Gillette, Johnny Gray of Casper, sister-in-law, Elsie Gray of Yoder, uncle, Howard Ackerman, aunt, Martha Ann (Mickey) and Leon Greenlund She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Judy Pattersen and brother Darrell (Tuffy) Gray. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Bustard's Funeral Home with Pastor John Herman officiating. Cremation has taken place.
