Memorial services for Elizabeth E. Steinle, 92 will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, June 20th, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Elizabeth passed away peacefully with her family by her side on June 14th, 2018 at Wyoming Medical Center. Elizabeth was born March 15, 1926 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL to Minnie Catherine and Cornelius C. Alexander. They moved to Pampa, Texas where her father passed away from pneumonia in 1932. 6 year old Elizabeth and her mother Minnie moved from Pampa to Casper to be closer to her Mother's family. She attended school at Jefferson Elementary and Natrona County High School in Casper. She attended school her Junior year in California, then graduated from NCHS in 1944. While attending Nurse's training at St. Anthony's Hospital in Denver, Colorado wrote letters and stayed in contact with her future husband Robert Steinle. They were married shortly after his discharge from the Navy in 1945. They raised three children, Elizabeth, Stephen, and Mark. As the children grew older, requiring less of her time at home, Liz began working part time for several Casper dentists. This became a full time career as a Dental Assistant working for Dr. Holscher until she retired in 1983. After retirement they enjoyed their grandchildren and extensive travels. They traveled to warmer climates such as Hawaii, Florida, and Arizona for the winter months. Their traveling adventures also included Germany, Italy, China, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. She enjoyed being a sport in her flashy cars which included everything from a hotrod GTO to her gold trimmed Cadillacs. She was a lady who enjoyed her bling, and always said she wished she had more fingers so she could wear more rings! As the couple enjoyed their travels, their true passion was for the Catholic Church. Even while traveling they always found a Church to attend. She was one of the founding members of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. She and Robert had the honor of being the longest married couple in the congregation for a number of years. After 71 years of marriage to the love of her life, she was preceded in death by her husband in 2016, and her son Mark less than a year later. She is survived by her daughter Liddy Chaney (John), Steve Steinle (Vicki), her daughter in law Pam Steinle, all of Casper; grandchildren, Susan Apel (Terry), Jena Steinle-Smith (Jamie), Butch Steinle (Audrey) and Kari Steinle; and great-grandchildren Robert and Kevin Apel. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital will be much appreciated.
