Elizabeth (Betty) Louise Eddy, 86, passed away on October 22, 2017 in Casper, Wyoming. Betty was born on March 22, 1931 in Crow Lake, South Dakota to Joseph and Louise(Pettrle) Sefrna. She married Bernard "Bud" M. Eddy on September 9, 1953, they were married for 37 years before he passed away on May 28, 1991. Betty was a school teacher for 45 years and taught in Central South Dakota and Northeastern Wyoming. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Louise Sefrna; her mother and father-in-laws, Vernon and Verlie Eddy; brothers, Ray Sefrna and Robert Sefrna; sisters, Josephine Aikins and Rose Luckett; brothers-in-laws, Leroy Aikins, Jim Luckett, Ellsworth (Red)Vestensel ; sister-in-laws; Lotus Vestensel and 2 nephews and 2 nieces. She is survived by her four children, Bernadene (Gary) Privet; Caledonia, Minnesota; Nedra (Bruce) Strouf, Albert Lea, Minnesota; Lana Muller (Francis Stimpson), Thermopolis, Wyoming; Mark Eddy, (Stephanie) Keeney, Casper, Wyoming. Grandchildren; Peter (Lynda) Privet, Lora (Brian) Wild, Tony (Lynette)Privet, Brenda (Josh) Brumm, Jesse (Meridee) Strouf, Jamie (Rachel) Strouf, Jason (Sarah) Strouf, Nicole Muller, (Levi Johnson), Marek Eddy,( Chelsea Wilde), Summer (Sam) Parsons and Aayden Rodgers, great grandchildren, Sam, Ava and Leo Privet, Beau and Zander Wild, Shaun, Kandis, Lydia and Leah Privet, Mylee and Garyett Thorson, , Joxtyn Brumm and Kaycee Brumm, Evie, Owen and June Strouf, Lyla, Avery, Elias and Oliver Strouf; sister-in-law, Shirley Sefrna and Gwen Sefrna; step children; Gordon and Brit Eddy and family, Bruce and Sandy Eddy and family; devoted and faithful friend, Molly (Betty's black cat); numerous nieces and nephews and many friends and students. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Casper with Pastor Nate Britt officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 to 1:00 P.M. preceding the service. A funeral service will take place at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the Basham Funeral Home in Wessington Springs, South Dakota with visitation on Friday from 6:00-9:00 P.M. at Basham Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Prospect Cemetery in Wessington Springs, South Dakota.
