Elden Lawyer

Elden Leroy Lawyer was born December 29, 1957 in Rocky Ford, Colorado to John Henry and Ramel Mae Sorensen Lawyer. On September 22, 1979 he married Becky Jean Blakesley in Thermopolis, Wyoming. Elden was a mechanic at UPS. He loved to spend his free time with family and friends, traveling and being outdoors. He enjoyed water sports, camping, and motorcycles. Elden passed away at Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper, Wyoming on November 29, 2015. He is survived by wife Becky Lawyer of Casper, Wyoming; sons D.J. (Nikki) Lawyer and Ryan (Landas) Lawyer of Casper, Wyoming; daughter Sonya (Chad) Waldron of Casper, Wyoming; parents John and Ramel Lawyer of Casper, Wyoming; granddaughter Kaiya Waldron of Casper, Wyoming; sister Korine Ellis of Casper, Wyoming; and mother-in-law Audrey Love of Thermopolis, Wyoming. Elden also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents John and Shirley Lawyer; grandparents Niels and Myrt Sorensen; aunt Recille Crosby; father-in-law John Blakesley of Thermopolis, Wyoming; stepfather-in-law Virgil Love of Thermopolis, Wyoming; and brother-in-law Lonnie Blakesley of Thermopolis, Wyoming. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 6, 2015 from 2PM to 5PM at Bustard's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10AM, Monday, December 7, 2015 at Highland Park Community Church, Pastor Chris Kinner officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service at Highland Park. Interment will follow at 3:00PM Monday, December 7, 2015 at Monument Hill Cemetery in Thermopolis, Wyoming. Memorial contributions in Elden's name may be made to Celebrate Recovery at Highland Park Community Church or Central Wyoming Hospice.
