Elaine A. Dalgarn (Binfet) passed away on November 12, 2013 following a short battle with a sudden illness. She was born on July 25, 1946 in Gettysburg, SD to George and Agnes Binfet. She spent her childhood years in Roscoe, SD before moving to Wyoming with her parents. Elaine graduated from Natrona County High School in 1964. In 1965 she finished Cosmetology School and opened a beauty shop in Kemmerer, WY. Around that same time she married her first husband, Terry L. Wood. From that union was born her son Shane Wood and her daughter Shawnna Wood. The family moved to Casper and Elaine found work as a waitress at Denny's. The smiles she put on the faces of her all her regular customers was countless. Nobody could stack plates up their arm quite like Elaine! A few years after moving to Casper, Elaine and Terry divorced. Not long after, Elaine found Emmett Dalgarn. After tearing it up on the dance floor a few times, the two decided to two-step their way into marriage in 1992. Elaine had a lot of hobbies and interests. However, there were 3 things she lived for. The first, was her grandchildren. They were the apple of her eye and made her life worth living! The second was camping and fishing. No place was off limits for the motor home and she would wait hours for a fish to bite her line! Third was playing cards. She knew all the games, she knew all the rules (and enforced them!), and she usually won! Elaine recently worked as an Instruction Assitand and substitute for the Natrona County school district. When she wasn't at work she also enjoyed bargain shopping, spending time with her cat and canning. There is no question... Elaine made the best pickles in the west! We are so sad to see Elaine leave this world and we will all miss her smile! Elaine was preceded in death by her daughter Shawnna Wood and her father George Binfet. She is survived by her husband Emmett Dalgarn, son Shane Wood, daughter-in-law Stacey Wood, grandchildren Kayla, Kolton and Kristin (all of Texas), step-son Russ Dalgarn (Misty), step-daughter Deana (Mike), step-grandchildren Shane, (Deana) Tyler and Patrick (Russ) and great-grandchildren Lily, Sawyer and Vanessa. She is also survived by her mother Agnes Binfet, siblings Norma Bowman (Wayne Kirby), Jerry Binfet (Kathy), Randy Binfet (Vera), June Andrews (Dan), Kim Scharosch (Dave) and many nieces and nephews. There will be a Rosary held in Elaine's honor on Monday, November 18th at 7:00 pm at Bustards Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday November, 19th at St. Patrick's Church. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Elaine's memory to St. Anthony Tri-Parish School
