Edward Stibley

Edward "Ed" Michael Stibley, age 72, of Mills, Wyoming passed away August 31, 2017 at Wyoming Medical Center. He was born May 27, 1945 in Sterling, Colorado to Jerome A. and Kathryn Elizabeth (Huss) Stibley. He was raised and went to school in Peetz, Colorado. Ed dropped out of high school when his 14 year old sister Margaret Ann drowned, to help on the farm. He was an altar server at the catholic church in Sterling, Colorado for many years. Ed was a carpenter, working in residential home and apartment construction. He married Thelma Ann Story in Casper, Wyoming on June 4, 1966. After their marriage, they move to North Hollywood, California, to experience life in a big city. The couple returned to Casper after two years. Ed was a member of St. Anthony of Padua's Catholic Church as well as the Eagles and the Elks. Ed is survived by his wife, Thelma; son, Cory Edward (Julie) Stibley, of Casper; daughter, April Ann (Doug) Holmes, of Casper; grandchildren, Trevor Holmes, Heather Stibley, Kayla Stibley, and Nevaeh Holmes; sister, Lorene Anderhub, of Colorado Springs; niece, Jamie Kulp, of Colorado Springs; cousin, David Stibley, and numerous other friends and relatives. Ed was preceded in death by his father, Jerome Stibley; mother, Kathryn Bennett; sister, Margaret Ann Stibley; and grandparents, Edward John and Anna Margaret (Hassman) Stibley and Michael and Elizabeth (Schneider) Huss. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 P.M. at Bustard's Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, Fr. Hugo Blotsky officiating. Inurnment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Ed's name may be made to U.S. Renal Care, 1141 Wilkins Circle, Casper, WY 82601 or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 5575 DTC Pkwy, Greenwood Village, CO 80111.
