Edward Lowndes

Funeral services for Edward M. Lowndes will be held at Bustard's Funeral Home June 30, 2010 at 10:00 AM. There will visitation at Bustard's Funeral Home on Tuesday June 29, 2010 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Ed passed away at home on June 25, 2010 with his children at his side. He was born in Casper, Wyoming April 10, 1937 to Joseph H. and Alice (Hively) Lowndes. He graduated from High School in Bakersfield, CA. In his younger years he worked various jobs returning to Casper where he worked for the Wyoming Highway Department from 1956 to 1972. He married Vivian E. Burgess and they raised six children together. Ed and Vivian built the Lazy 8 Bar in Meadow Acres where he remained until his retirement. Ed is survived by his children Cindy Lara, Christe Canfield, Rick(Mary) Lowndes, Ed Lowndes II, Dave(Lari) Lowndes, Darlene(Joe) Baker and sister Michiele(Gary) Ogden, 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and his longtime friend Wayne Lesher. He is preceded in death by his wife Vivian in 2008, parents Joseph H. and Alice Lowndes, his brother Joseph E. Lowndes, grandparents, aunts and uncles.
