Memorial services for Edmund C. Rodrick, 93 of Casper, WY will be held at 10:00AM, Monday, March 16, 2015 at Bustard's Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Cooper officiating. Military honors will be accorded. Edmund passed away March 10, 2015 in Casper. Edmund was born March 24, 1921, in New Bedford, Massachusetts. He was educated there and came to Casper in 1939 with the C.C.C (Civil Conservation Corp.). After completing this service he returned to New Bedford. In 1942, he returned to Casper to make his Home. He joined the Navy in 1942 serving in the South Pacific with the armed Guard. He was employed in the oil fields for many years, worked in the Post Office as a clerk, Natrona County School System, and the Wyoming Highway Department, taking early retirement from there in 1977. He also worked for the Natrona County Health Department as a superintendent taking his final retirement from there. On June 21, 1946, he married Mary Jewel McKenzie. They had six children, four sons and two daughters. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Victor and his wife Debi, Rodney and his wife Janice, two daughters Janeen Griswold and her husband Steve, Elizabeth Schroeder and her husband Craig, one daughter-in-law, Wanda, 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Paul and Danny, one brother Herbie, and one sister Mela Perry. After retirement his greatest interest was fixing things around the house, feeding the wild birds and caring for his yard. He loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. Memorials may be made to Disabled Veterans organization.
