Edgar Earl Turnipseed answered to quite a few titles throughout his life; he was a loving Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Chief, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Great Great Grandfather, Friend, and surrogate family to many. He always had a kind thing to say to everyone and a wicked joke to tell for every occasion. He loved making those around him feel special or to illicit a giggle.
He was always a go getter and a very hard worker from Lifeguarding, to Chief, to an Outside Sales Representative he just couldn’t find a way to retire in full. He liked his routine and his reason to keep getting up each morning.
When asked about his celebration of life plans, he only asked for two things; “please play Taps, and if you waste your money on a party tell them all to bring their own bottles”. He would then erupt into a fit of laughter.
For those lucky enough to hear of his adventures around the world, or just camping up at tie hack, he always had something to teach you. Some new way to get something done that you may have never thought of before in quite that manner. One could spend hours extoling his virtues and still not have scratched the surface. Suffice it to say he was the kindest gentleman around and will be sorely missed.
