Earl Ernst

d. March 1, 2012

Earl Raymond Ernst, otherwise known as 'The Cajun Pappy", "Hollywood", "Earl the Pearl", or most affectionately as "Gramps", "Papa" and "Old Man", was a man who lived a life of dedication, devotion, honor, and love and lived it to the fullest of his abilities every moment fie walked this earth. Earl went home to be with the Lord on March 1, 2012 after a lengthy battle with multiple health issues. Earl is survived by his brother, Clifford Ernst, his wife, Betty Ernst, five daughters; Kelly Christian, Teinja Ernst, Tola Muckley, Maria Ernst, and Elizabeth Ernst. He is also survived by 9 grand children; Samuel Cable, James Cable, Sonja Kluttz, Kalynn Avertt, Lois Horgus, Kcyle Dooley, Brennan Ernst, Kevin Sandoval, and Andrea Grimes. Additionally, he had 4 great grand children; Kia Ernst, Adam Horgus, Arian Kluttz, and James Horgus, Earl served his country with honor, dedication, devotion and great distinction as a Marine during the Korean Conflict as a fighter pilot and ended his term of services honorably as a chief warrant officer after having been shot down over the sea of Japan. Still, he lived every day proud to proclaim that he was not only a Marine but a patriot who loved his country and proudly displayed his flag. Earl made a career in the oilfield and traveled the world from Columbia to Saudi Arabia and back working in many different areas of this field including serving as a "powder monkey" on oil well fire crews, consulting and training of nationals in foreign fields, and many of his innovations and forward thinking ideas are still in use and practice to this day. Earl was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and had a passion for sharing these loves with his family and friends. In his later years he also developed a love for auctions and yard sales. His greatest passion through it all was his love for his family and he touched so many lives where ever he went. He will be missed so very much but we are blessed to have known and loved him and look forward to reuniting with him one day in heaven. Please join us in celebrating the life of a devoted, dedicated and loving man on Thursday March 8, 2012 at the Grace Bible Baptist Church, 405 S. Park, Casper, WY in the Grant Adams Fellowship hall for a memorial and fellowship event.
